Filming in the Square

Lafayette Square is a semi-gated community in the heart of Los Angeles, an inner-city hub with suburban characteristics—an ideal filming location. The homes in the neighborhood have can be seen in many commercials, T.V., and movies.

If you are interested in filming in the square, please see contact details for our filming Liaison Committee: Skei Saulnier, Lisa Cornell, and Steve Vincent. Skei, Lisa, and Steve make sure homeowners near the shooting location(s) are notified, that shoots begin and continue smoothly, and that the neighborhood receives minimal disruption. To benefit both parties, LSA makes a suggestion that those filming provide monetary donations. Directions for said donations, as well as amounts for shootings during weekdays, after-hours, and weekends, can all be seen below.

Weekdays

  • $100 per weekday for still shoots
  • $500 per commercial shoot days / $250 per prep/strike days
  • $600 per film/TV shoot days / $300 per prep/strike days

After-hours and Weekends:

  • $200 per hour for after-hour (after 10 PM or before 7 AM) commercial & film/TV shoots
  • $300 per day for still weekend shoots
  • $1200 per day for weekend and holiday commercial and film/TV shoots
